Better Built Trades ("we", "us", "our") provides websites, lead capture, and communication tools for home-service contractors. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to betterbuilttrades.com and the services we provide through it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and business details submitted through our forms: your business name, trade, mobile phone number, website address, and, if you book a call, your name and email address.
• Communications you send us by text, email, or phone, including the content of those messages.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages viewed.
• Consent records. When you opt in to text messages we record the date and time, your IP address, your browser user agent, and the exact consent wording shown to you. We keep this to demonstrate that consent was given.

SMS and text messaging

Mobile opt-in information and consent to receive text messages are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used only to communicate with you about the service you requested.

• What we send. If you opt in, we send you the quote or breakdown you requested and related follow-up about our services. We do not send unrelated marketing.
• Frequency. Message frequency varies.
• Cost. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier may.
• Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages unless you opt in again.
• Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or email us at the address below.
• Delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

How we use your information

• To prepare and send the quote or breakdown you requested.
• To respond to you and follow up about our services.
• To provide, operate, and improve the services you sign up for.
• To keep records of consent and to comply with legal obligations.
• To protect our systems, including detecting and preventing spam and abuse.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it to do that work. These currently include:

• Vercel for website hosting.
• Resend for transactional email delivery.
• GoHighLevel (LeadConnector) for CRM, scheduling, and messaging.
• Cloudflare for spam and bot protection on our forms.
• Sentry for error monitoring.
• Meta for advertising measurement, as described below.

As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are excluded from any sharing for marketing purposes. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and measure performance. We also use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and reports page views and form submissions to Meta so we can measure and improve our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through Meta's ad settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

How long we keep information

We keep lead and consent records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal and record-keeping obligations, and then delete or anonymize them. Consent records are retained for at least the period required to demonstrate compliance with messaging regulations.

Your choices and rights

• Reply STOP to any text to opt out of messages.
• Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Florida Digital Bill of Rights or the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated where appropriate.
